Yesterday was spent focussed on the arrival of Shamala and Allan. So, it was up and off to the laundromat to get the sheets organised. Tucked a coffee in there between the wash and the dryer, home to make up bed and clean, clean, clean. Then I did a bit of shopping which included getting the ingredients for an Aperol Spritz. Booked a table for the evening meal and off to the train station to meet them. They arrived on time and we walked back to the apartment with a break for a coffee. they have mountains of luggage so we had to take it slowly!! We had a bite to eat and a drink and a rest then we went out for a bit of a passeggiata before dinner. We kept bumping into people I knew from school..they are everywhere!! Then a meal outside which was pleasant and basically home to bed.
This morning Shamala is unwell, she has caught a cold from the ship so not sure how she’ll go. The idea is to just spend the day in Lucca today. We will hire a car for a day or two and they will go off to Florence and Pisa. They would like me to go to Florence with them so they can get about and see things more quickly!!! Not sure about that but we’ll see!!
