My first night back in my own bed was a big disappointment due to a concerted dive bombing mission by Lucca’s mosquito squad. Shamala and Alan had slept with the windows open so not sure how they fared??
Anyway, I had to get up and going this morning, sleep or no sleep, so I could get the rubbish down by 9am. So, off to have my coffee with eyelids propped open. Off to buy mosquito spray straight away. Then I decided best to go for my ride first thing, so 3.5 times around I went. Poor, poor bum!!
At the end of that I sat for a while and had a read of my book. I just need to stop there for a minute and say that this is a book I’m loving. It has become my ‘friend’. It is ‘All the Light we cannot see’ by Anthony Doerr. One of you will have recommended it and I just love it so enjoy stopping for reads.
I came home for lunch and then went out again for coffee, a walk around and a read stop in my lovely walled garden. Then home…a very quiet day but I can do quiet for a week.
